Sister Phyllis Heble, N.D.

"If we are too busy to pray, then we are
way too busy."

I was born on August 23, 1932 and grew up on a wheat farm north of Atwood, Kansas. I became a Notre Dame Sister in August of 1954. I was an Elementary School Teacher for several years and then worked for the Archdiocese of Omaha training religious education teachers and also developing spirituality programs for the Archdiocese.

I developed adult education programs at St. Pius X in Omaha as well as being their DRE. I directed the Notre Dame Retreat Center in Omaha, NE. and later spent several years in New Hampshire teaching adult spirituality and scripture classes in a Catholic Christian Life Center.

I have a BS in education from the College of St. Mary in Omaha, NE: a Master's Degree in Religious Studies from the University of San Francisco and a Master's Degree in Christian Spirituality from Creighton University in Omaha NE.

I came to St. Thomas More in August of 1997 where I have the position of Spiritual Director and Pastoral Minister to the ill, dying and grieving.

My hobbies are reading, walking in nature, baseball and football games, photography, driving through the mountains and spending time with a good friend.
