Welcome to Small Wonders!

Classes start Spetember 23, 2007

Small Wonders is weekly religious education for preschoolers, jr. kindergarteners and kindergarteners. We have classes for 3 year olds (potty trained and 3 by Oct.1), 4 year olds (by Oct. 1), and those children in jr. kindergarteners and kindergarteners. Our mission is to augment your efforts in your child's faith formation. As the primary Catechists, parents are extremely important and the foundation for a child's for a child's development.

Small Wonders:

a) encourages a Catholic atmosphere conducive to learning, praying and sharing;

b) provides opportunities to be examples of Christ through our Christian Outreach programs;

c) uses curricula that guides students in age-appropriate manner in discovering God's love and how special God made them; and

d) produces special events throughout the year which allow active participation. This year's specail events will be impacted by the Church remodel. Once enrolled, families will be notified of the events through their child's class.

Weekly sessions consist of the following based on a lesson for the week:

               Prayer                Story                Music             Arts & Crafts                 Snacks

We offer classes in two sessions on Sunday:

Session I 8:30 - 9:45 am            &        Session II 10:15 -11:30 am.

In case you are new to Small Wonders, the prayers learned are as follows:

3 year olds         The Sign of the Cross

4 year olds         The Lord's Prayer

Jr. K                    The Hail Mary

Kindergartners  The Hail Mary and Glory Be

In September, your child will receive a note from his/her Catechists introducing themselves and telling you their room number. We start September 23, 2007 with the children attending class and parents attending a parent meeting.
